As a little girl,

Rachel’s parents instilled a mentality in her and her three siblings that you can achieve anything you want, as long as you work hard for it and are honest and good along the way.

So, while she was young, Rachel worked hard to get what was important to her- strawberry ice cream, going to Badger games, moving up a level in swim lessons, earning a solo dress in Irish dance and computer privileges to name a few.  And, as she got older, Rachel worked hard to attend Marquette University for her Bachelors, DePaul University for her Masters and to land internships and jobs in broadcasting and communications.

Throughout her career, Rachel’s experiences have taken her to the hills of Fond Blanc, Haiti, where she produced and directed a news story on an orphanage, to Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport where she interviewed MLB star Carlos Rodon on what it was like becoming an airline employee for the day, to working the men’s NCAA March Madness Tournament in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, documenting the DePaul women’s basketball run in the Sweet Sixteen in Dallas, filming and editing footage of Broadway stars from the traveling cast of Aladdin and Something Rotten, capturing a group of children’s first visit to the “North Pole” in Frankfurt, Germany, helping cast a commercial that starred Bastian Schweinsteiger, to even organizing and hosting a grassroots fundraiser in her family’s backyard that raised thousands of dollars for that very orphanage in Haiti she did a news story on.

Her subjects and stories are versatile, but the root of her work all remains the same: Communicating and sharing that story authentically, tailored to each subject and event.

Rachel feels incredibly lucky to be able to do the work that she does. When not working, you’ll often see Rachel taking in sporting events, trying new restaurants, attending shows, traveling, mustering through workouts, wishing for a dog and spending time with her friends and family.
